Determining the Right Price
Be sure to do your homework before you set the asking price.
- Search EverySingleHome for other homes like yours and compare their asking price.
- Ask friends what they think your home is worth.
- Compare your home to other homes that have recently sold in your neighborhood.
- Ask a real estate agent what they think your home is worth.
You may even consider purchasing an appraisal to get a professional third-party opinion. After all, your buyer will probably need a mortgage and their lender will most likely want an appraisal (please note that the Buyer's lender may not accept your appraisal). If your asking price is too high, the buyer may not be able to get the financing they need.
